Centenary Square in Birmingham - I did have both my big cameras with me as I'd been shooting at the Symphony Hall but can't share those yet as they're still awaiting approval from the artiste's management but it was cold, wet and I couldn't be bothered to get them out of the camera bag! I thought the phone would do a reasonable job, and I'm happy with this. Very little editing needed, too.

Another phone picture - this time I didn't need to use night sight.

A lovely image, Barr1e. I hope Ann1e and you enjoyed the day there in 2015. The weather looked ideal.

Hard to believe that phones can produce such superb images. The very slight blown high lights of the glass that you mention, do not distract from the image at all Caz. I'd be very pleased with this.
The colours look very bright, yet realistic, and the photo is sharp. Details are good from the front to the back.

Due to carpet being laid in our office, we had to decamp with files to Buckingham. Hadn't been over there for around 9 months so thought I'd try out the Pixel phone in the church. The lights weren't on, so this was taken using the night sight feature, which has a long exposure and enriches colours slightly.
I downloaded it into Lightroom to correct verticals and distortion. The only thing I'm slightly unhappy about is the highlights in the stained glass windows are blown, but it came down to a choice of capturing the shadows or the blowing the highlights. Since that was the smaller area, the shadows won.

Almost selective colour against the dry earth. Nice pretty little flower.

You must have a warm micro-climate near you, Andy! The daffs in our garden still haven't bloomed!Originally posted by andym View Post
