Re: My Image of the Day
I like both of these, Gez.
I remember that last time I visited Brixham, ( 15 yrs ago ) seeing a seal swimming around the harbour.
I really must come down there again.
I take it that we are seeing more of Torbay behind Tres Hombres ?

Re: My Image of the Day
Penny and I were invited to stay with friends near Boston and I took the opportunity to take a few shots of the Head of the Charles Regatta. Thanks to Rodbender for the tutorial on how to embed Youtube videos.

Re: My Image of the Day
Thanks Barr1e and Garry for your kind comments. There are a lot more poppies also on the war memorial in the village. I took the opportunity yesterday to visit the church while the weather was not to bad. All images were taken with my Panasonic FZ330 and processed in Cyberlink PowerDirecto 16 slideshow software. The Last Post was downloaded from YouTube.
Glad you enjoyed it.

Re: My Image of the Day
Almost the end of the challenge for a picture a day for the month of October: there have been several camera shots, a couple of fisheyes, and a few gig shots but most have been taken on my carry around camera, the Canon EOS-M. Still got the Mk 1, still liking it and, despite all the criticism, still find it focuses easily for me - possibly because I mostly have it set to spot metering, spot focussing.
Realised as I left work last night for the first time since the clocks went back at the weekend that I hadn't got my "shot for the day" and, since I thought I've had enough pictures of one of the cats, set off back down to the Cross to see if I could get a night shot. Now that's where the EOS-M is weak: low light, but it is the works of a 650D in a mirrorless body.
So I turned on 2 second self-timer, braced myself against the railings, and took a couple of long exposures. This was 4 seconds, and I'm quite pleased how it turned out.
