Something caught my eye on my walk this afternoon:

I wondered if this is what they call "mains current"?

I'm walking wounded at the moment.

I have suffered over the years with back pain - a sort of on and off romance with it. Anne and I have spent several days spring cleaning - finished just before lunch today.

I think the first day in of hoovering the back thought, well out with you! Being a man I perservered and in celebration of a job well done it was lunch at the pub to see if a bottle of wine between us helped as an anaesthetic. Well I hobbled back along the canal and my spirits lifted when we spotted a Kingfisher - flying off too far to give chase.

This heron was a help though.

Super capture; both the butterfly and the composition. This thread just gets better.

Aaaaaah - a cute huggaduggadugga and she's called Tess too!

My sister's called me 'Tessa' (shortened to Tess) since we were litle kids. it's not my name, far from it, she chose it because she said it was a horrible name and I was a horrible sister.

Now Tess looks a kindly doggie.

I was trying to change to my macro lens this afternoon, but had to take a quick pic with my 70-300 Olympus lens (140-600) which was fitted to the camera an E-5. The reason for speed was because two people sitting by the canal with half a dozen dogs took no notice of the Chihuahua biting my ankle. Another one of the pooches was chasing a goose which fortunately took flight.

                    - here's the result.

                    Mushroom/s

                      Aww, Tess looks like fun.

I met two friendly and cute little pups on my walk yesterday. If I'd had my head on straight, I'd have asked to take some snaps.

This shrub has a very long name viz:

                        Acer Palmatum Dissectum Atropurpureum

                        Ray.

PS Couldn't copy the "url" when right clicking so copied the photo instead. Seems to work if you click on the thumbnail.

My child bride turns 60 a week from tomorrow. We surprised her a few days early this evening.

Yesterday evening. One of my girls wanted her picture taken beside her boss's new portrait

Birthday wishes from Anne (Ann1e) and I.

I wish I could turn the clock back and be sixty again (or even forty).

                              Best wishes child bride.

I have a chore to do this morning, so whilst waiting for a car to move I took a pic for this thread.

My focus point was its eye stalk, focus almost there - but I couldn't rest on my knees too well due to a current twinge in the back.
