The picture is OK but I've got no idea what it is. How about a clue or two?

Ok, blue is not the usual colour I would associate with the front of this thing, but white is. I'd say they are usually tricoloured.

Looks like a j-cloth to me.

Is it a number plate on a car or motorbike?

No, but it is motoring related. At risk of giving too much away, I think it might get classed as street furniture.

In this case it probably is a road sign? Maybe a name of a place or street?

                      Sorry for the delay.
I am not sure how common my next object is. Suspect that not at all. But if you were to use it you would do it several times a day. It is entirely metal, few centimeters in size.

To be honest, I don't even know how it is called , so hope you tell me.

I understand that the challenge is not easy. Unfortunately there is not many other "sides" of the object that I can show. This is the same part but from slightly different point.

But I can give more clues.

                            1) This object cannot be used on its own, only together with one very common object. This common object is probably one of the first things you bring into a new house or any place you intend to live even for few days - every house has at least half a dozen or so of them. Not to mention offices and some other public places.
                            2) Although I said that I do not know how the item in question is called but I know how it is called when used together with the above mentioned common object. Their combination differs from the original common object as, using the previous challenges as examples, in-ear headphone differs from a headphone or water vole from a vole .
