I often end up having a tantrum when I go to the seaside, either that or get sick from eating too much ice-cream .

Thanks for compliment on the pic. To be honest it was one I had just about discarded but revisited as I thought it suited the theme.

Well, there were some great entries!
So a big thank you to all who entered.

Here are the top three entries in reverse order:


3rd Place : Matt Kneale With the cable cars, a nice simple composition, with brilliant blue skies. You were lucky to get third Matt, as I have been on those cable cars, and they scared the life out of me!

2nd Place : Paul RW With the 99 Flake! This was a difficult decision between this one and Stuart R's, as yours has got the chocolate still there, I will give you second!

1st Place

This to me sums up a typical British summer scene. absolutely terrific! Nicely composed, with nice bright colours. I also love the humour of it, and it reminded me of those 'oh so British' saucy postcards you can buy!

So it is over to you Josh, congratulations on a new 2GB memory card, and your 2nd Salon win. I look forward to seeing what subject you decide on for the next competition.

It does too.......I hadn't noticed that. The shot was actually taken in mid-May, so we were firmly into the summer, however I'll have to give you top marks for observation

Well done Josh - that image really took me back to when I used to go to the east coast as a kid. Looks like times haven't really changed that much!

Like a few of the others, once I saw your picture I thought that it was a definite winner - where's everyone been to catch the sun lately? The weather's been absolutely foul round here for the last couple of weeks

Just sitting here waiting for the kids to get back from Glastonbury - last I heard at 6.15 was that they were still queueing to get out of the car park!
