I recently saw a picture of some hummingbirds feeding out of someones hand, and I was amazed how small they were!

Hi All
Found this in my files. Keeping it for a local competition. The bird is a NZ wood pigeon. It is semi protected. This was a lucky shot taken at Christchurch Botanical Gardens last year. The tree this bird is feeding from has since been removed.

after waiting about an hour and nearly losing any kind of light, this finch finally got interested in the nuts i left out.

shot through a window, and so the image had to be played with a little bit to get it anywhere near good enough to post.



the robin was takem on xmas morning, a couple of hours after i first opened the camera, i was around 12ft away and have had to zoom in a fair bit
