  • Assignment Autumn!

It's that time - and we have new dedicated gallery sub-categories for the seasons, including autumn or fall. Of course if you are in the sourthern hemisphere - it's spring time, I know

To find the new categories, go to the Nature main category in the gallery - it's still early days, so we need more seasonal pictures there.

Here's a few I took at the weekend:

Lime Tree Avenue, Clumber Park again. Just another angle.

These Lime Trees do not bear fruit.

No - I'm not sure why they are called Lime trees as they aren't (AFAIK) members of the citrus family.

                Re: Assignment Autumn!

Well, pending the wife and little Lotus.... I wil be getting up bright and earl tomorrow morning to go to Richmond Park.

So hopefully will get some nice Autumn shots there.

My main reason is to try and catch some rutting dear, but this will be a nice alternative as well

I spent the last couple of days walking in The Chilterns with a friend. The countryside is beautiful. This is my favourite:

I like that one Julia. I have been doing something similar myself.

Well, we live and learn dont we!

I really needed a tripod today to narrow the apperture so as I could have got the log in focus! Ah well, maybe next time.

There are some lovely shots for the autumn assignment. Heres my addition from today:

This is quite a bit darker on here than in my editor even though I profiled the monitor last weekend. With the Spyder 2 you are given a certain tolerance and I managed to get it to '0' so I thought it would be OK. I must admit things did seem a bit darker than usual - so what/who is right? Do I go by my eye or the Spyder?

The Spyder may well be clever but it didn't see the scene like your eye did.
Indeed it seems to have combined sunlight with nightime
