Just take it easy. There's always tomorrow. And if tomorrow doesn't come, you won't have wasted any effort on it.

I think it is St George's, Bloomsbury. As seen in the background here:

        St George, Bloomsbury it is.

The sculptures were carved in the 1720s as a symbolic comment on the Hanoverian succession, with the lions (England) and the unicorns (Scotland) fighting for the crown. Considered to be too frivolous by the Victorians as well as being potentially unsafe, they were taken down in the 1870s and lost. Only the weathered statue of George I dressed as a Roman Emperor was left on top of the pyramid. The new sculptures were carved by Tim Crawley in 2006 from contemporary drawings. Each is over ten feet tall and weighs 8 tons.

        Over to you, Kurt.

Thanks Andrew, that was an interesting one.

Here is an image from the archives. I came upon this place by accident. It was rather interesting, especially if you like coming across the unexpected.

Sorry, but no. There must be more of these interesting places than I realised.

Is a clue required? Most would seem to give it away completely. I'll give it another day or so.

As it's a grey rainy I've been doing a bit of digging. It's a Gloster Meteor I think. I can find a listing fo WH840 at Norfolk and Suffolk Air Museum, Flixton, Suffolk but when I look at that museums website it does not list that Meteor but another one
As it look a fairly old picture I'll guess at Flixton.

It doesn't look like a Meteor (wrong shape of cockpit cover). I think it's a Canberra (as checked with the WH840 on the front wheel cover).
