    Andy,

All the images of your local forest are good but I particularly like the first with its carpet of many coloured leaves and the background of grey trunks. I'm afraid I may show my ignorance of tree specimens but are they beech trees ?

    Regards.

      Roger,

An unusual photograph but I think you have captured the scene perfectly especially the way in which the the tractor and the harvester's lights focus attention on the activity.

          Andy,

Thanks for the information. I think mature Beech and Hornbeam trees are magnificent and hope they don't disappear from our country like the Elms.

From todays walk around Priory Woods where I just took the 45mm attached to a Pen E-PL3 for simplicity and low weight.

And of course no walk would be complete without a snap of one of my pooches.
            Regards Paul.

It's one of those funny old days, when suddenly there is a brilliant Rainbow and then nothing. Sick of getting wet, I played indoors for a while...

Spent some time today trying to take some shots of Holly berries on the one Holly tree which normally grows berries each year but although the berries were abundant the leaves were sparse.

Wow, that really is something special, Gez! Super shot!

Where were you? Were you on a boat or on the shore , or maybe a jetty?

The seal was swimming alongside the path near the Fish Quay. A pair use a
nearby cave and can be seen regularly. It's surprising how many people leaving the car park alongside the path fail to spot them.

                            Thanks for the explanation.

That's a good place for them to hang about,. Handy for them to find a few quick and easy snacks, eh.

                              John,

Sorry to read you have a problem with your back. I hope things improve soon. However, if the weather in Kent is similar to ours here then you aren't missing much. We have had cold winds and rain almost continuously since about 3pm yesterday.

                              Regards.
