Nope. And it's not Royston Vasey either :-)

    Anyone need a clue yet?

It does look a bit like Dumfries House, but the one picture I have would suggest that it's the other side of the house, if it is the same house?

If not - yes - we need more clues

The other side of the house looks the same actually. It's not Dumfries House.

Clue 1. It's in the East Midlands

Could it possibly be Belton House in Lincolnshire? It's on my list of National Trust properties to visit...

Ok, don't think this will last too long - but perhaps not as obvious as first appears?

It looks Russian, or is it in the UK?

Ian - It is Russian, but it's not in the UK.

Dr Madvibe - no, it's not the Kremlin either.

Perhaps it's not as simple as I first thought! Mine usually go to the first guesser...

Is it a Russian cathedral in Estonia? It looks s bit like the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, Tallinn, but not exactly matching your shot.

Ian - it is a Russian cathedral, but it's not in eastern Europe. It is breathtakingly beautiful, but unfortunately you're not allowed to take photos inside.

Nope, you're both right- it is in Nice, built around 1912 by the Tsar Nicholas II. My shot was a rear view, taken from the steps of the tomb. I haven't processed many of the front yet due to other commitments. It's a fantastic place, and well worth a visit. We bought the 72-hour grande tour tickets, which entitled us to unlimited travel on the open-top tour bus which went round Nice and the surrounding area; and it also included free entry to a lot of museums - and Marineland, down at Antibes.

You've obviously found it on google maps, so I probably don't need to put up another shot - although this one: http://flic.kr/p/9yRqoj has been surprisingly popular on flickr considering that it was taken with a retro camera app on my mobile!

                                Over to you Ian
