Looks like the Yorkshire Moors, so I will have a stab and say Wensleyday?

OK Heres a clue. The stream flowing under the bridge has the same name as the river flowing through Ilkley.

Mmm. It seems I made a poor choice in entering my view of Yokenthwaite in Langstrothdale where the river wharfe begins it journey through Yorkshire.

Perhaps I could display another scene which I think could be more appealing.
          I hope so anyway.

It looks like York Minster to me.

              Sorry Audrey its not York....
I was actually on my way to York when I grabbed this shot from the train window.

I don't know. How many miles away from York? You could have been in Landsend. Alternatively, as you live in Leeds it could have just been that short journey, but I can't seem to see anything.

I think we need someone else to have a go at guessing.

                  Durham Cathedral.

The Cathedral presents of my all time favourite views when travelling on a train between London and Northumberland.

Well I do declare! Can't believe it! I thought about Durham and thought I had checked it out. Well Done Pol. I know it's right because look at this! One I did earlier, as they say.

You'll have to get your thinking cap on now.

Durham's special and the view of the Cathedral from the train on the east coast line is extra special, for me anyway. Very fond memories for me.

I'll wait until Martin confirms or denies the location before I upload another picci. I have an easy one and a virtually-impossible-unless-you-live-there snapshots and haven't made my final choice yet.

Well done Pol - Yes its Durham - Its a great view isn't it, I've seen it many times but it always seem special as it comes into view.
Sorry about the delay been away from the computer most of the day .
Can't wait to see your "easy - impossible" choice.

Yeah I always loved that view of Durham Cathedral. It only lasts for a few seconds, depending on the speed of the train, but I always watched out for it, turned and looked at it until it had completely disappeared from sight.

I've decided on the easy one so I'll put it up in a moment.

Just a snapshot. Probably too easy and likely to be identified by the morning but here goes anyway.

                            Where is this?

Brighton? Although I seem to recall the Grand Hotel in Brighton is a bit more grand than this one?
