You've made me look it up. It's Titus Salt's Mill.

I've always known it as Salts Mill and that's how it's known locally. If you Google Salts Mill there is a photo almost identical to yours Audrey

I'd be more than happy for Geoff to have this one.

It is yes, but it hasn't got the tree!

        So over to you Geoff.

Thanks Audrey (and Stephen), sorry I've not been keeping up with this thread, I've been spending a couple of hours with a demanding customer!

I'll have a look through my holiday snaps and see if I can find one with some clues in. Back soon.

          Regards,
          Geoff.

Here is my next holiday snap from 2007. Where was this taken? And a bonus question: the very large boat to the left of centre was once the largest private yacht in the world. Who owns it?

                No, it's a different country.

I don't know where it is but I think the yacht may be the Eclipse, owned by Roman Abramovich (owner of chelsea football club iirc).

Pol, you are right about Roman Abramovich owing the yacht but you got the wrong yacht. This one is Pelorus, another of his boats! It is no longer the biggest private yacht in the world, the super-rich try to outdo each other. An Arab Sheik had one built that was a few meters longer than Pelorus so Abramovich had another one built (This was 4 years ago). My daughter works on these luxury yachts, it's a different world for the super-rich.

                    Regards,
                    Geoff.

How on earth can you tell that Pol, they all look the same to me at that sort of distance.

Oddly enough we were docked opposite the Eclipse in St Marten (Caribbean) about two weeks ago. It was said his wife was 'in town'

I don't know. I could be wrong about the yacht and I haven't a clue about the location. I was just guessing.

I read a lot of gossip/news reports and some things occasionally just stick there in my mind. (Either that or I dug it out from an article the DM)

I've dug out the article about 'Admiral Abramovich's mega-yachtski'.

Here's the link - a report from the DM Foreign Service, June 2009.
