Soooo many great shots it is hard to decide, its been great fun for me as Ive looked at every shot as its been posted.

So here it is:

This is an excellent candid shot with lovely colour and a comic theme to boot. well done Dennis

2nd Place goes to.....................jojo

This was a very close second, I love the pic as it stands, had jojo got a bit more of the ship then it probably would have stole 1st from Dennis.well done jojo

Not the most planet freindly vehicle, but a great action shot.well done stan

Good stuff Ash, and congrats to Dennis, it certainly was an interesting shot and the one I studied and thought about the most of the bunch. TBH I felt sorry for they guy as there was no way he was going to get far with that load in the state it was

The fortnightly salon is always a highlight! Participation & interaction, with a little healthy competition always manages to keep interest going in many mediums! Whatever happened to the Challenges, they were great! The last one seemed sooooooo long ago, with the rose photo challenge! Surely more challenges would bring interest. There doesn't always have to be a prize at the end of it! I think that was proven when (I think it was) Autumn put in her photo of the motor vehicle & set a challenge if I recall correctly!

Agreed. Straightforward challenge threads can be started by anyone at anytime and they don't need to specify a time limit - so go for it if you have an idea that you think might encourage posters.

I might just start a new challenge myself anytime in the next 10-15 mintes. I have an idea and maybe a couple of pictures available to start it off.

Watch that space over there (ie the assignments and challenge forum).

Well done to Dennis, Jojo and Stan - an interesting challenge, with a good number of entries (mine, admittedly, was taken 'on the fly' with a camera phone so I could enter before the hols)

Thank you Ash for the choice of subject, also for selecting mine as No 1., and thank you everyone for your congrats. !! It is the first time I have entered any of the Salon comps but I always have a look and this subject attracted me to enter as I had one or two that fitted the bill. After much deliberation I decided that the one I entered best fitted the theme and although I did not expect to win I felt that it was funny and might provoke some smiles and comment. This form of 'Transportation' was quite prevalent in Jaipur and within the space of twenty minutes or so had seen several more heavy bicycle loads in the same street. I have put three more in my library album 'India05'. I have now to think of a challenging topic for the next Salon comp and have looked at all the past titles to ensure that I do not repeat. I promise to have something chosen by tomorrow evening Monday.
