At last lockdown has been announced: about time, especially after the events of the weekend. I had hoped to be able to go over to Canons Ashby to walk in the gardens there, but as they're National Trust they were closed due to overcrowding. The same goes for Daventry Country Park - as people haven't been maintaining a reasonable distance, the park has been closed.
I'd heard rumours of military movements too - and had also heard from someone high up in the NHS that lockdown was nearing so shot out this afternoon to top up the shopping as we were getting low on milk and bread. Our local Co-Op has been low on stock the past couple of visits, so trekked the 10 miles to Banbury. Had to visit a couple of supermarkets but now set for a good week or two, hopefully.
My children in France and Spain both videocalled me for Mother's Day. No cards or presents this year, they're non-essential shopping (and fair enough).

so I am going to focus more on ideas for the forums. I hinted at Garry's cannibal insects thread that many of us might have to resort to macro to discover interesting images around the house or the garden - nothing wrong with that!
