    How are we all ?

Been over 24 hrs since anyone has commented, so I am hoping everyone is well and coping with the situation.

Are you all staying at home and away from the virus ?

Are you getting grocery supplies delivered ? Or are you going shopping ?

We go out once a week for grocery shopping and don't go out after that. We did take a walk for exercise on Monday. Just the two of us. Decided to walk from home to the beach ( Approx 3/4 mile each way )

We only saw two couples on the way. We crossed the road to keep our distance. When we got to the beach, The promenade was really quite busy. Looked like everyone was there. We decided to not go onto the promenade and returned home.

Spending lots of time decorating and in the garden with my camera ( nothing to show yet )

So How are you all ? How are you coping ?

Getting a bit fed up,i cant go for a walk as ime not able to,a ride out on the scooter would break the monotony but as it would not be for shopping and the police would not see it as exercise.

Well I must say I have not really been bothered buy the stay at home order as I very rarely go out anyway. Seen more of the wife as she can't go to bingo or her knitters and knaters club. Food delivery booked for 15th April. What we will get out of our order will probably be less than half. Hope we can last till then even if we do lose weight. Trying to stay well away from everybody but will have to let our chiropoadis (think that's how you spell it) in as wife is diabetic. Catch 22 that one. Been doing a few odd jobs around the house and cut the grass today for something to do. Wife has been cooking things we can freeze so we can keep things longer. Planning ahead and just hoping we are going to reap the benefit later. Hope you all stay well. Chin up as they say and carry on regardless.

I'm looking after the lady of the house - I plan to cook fish and chips for myself tomorrow and whilst I am at it I'll cook Anne some fish fingers.

Cooking or preparing meals is my chore because I shall need my lady to cook for me should I get the dreaded.

We have to stay at home as well. But many people are stubborn and think it is fun to break the rule to be safe. People are stock piling eggs "WOWWOWWOW" Price for food increased almost 100% or more so the goverment will punish them hard. 7month jail or 140000 Baht fine ( around 4303 US$) is about 7-8 month salary (average).

Our little town of under 2000 inhabitants has already had two die from Covid-19. I knew one of them. It sure would be nice to have a vaccine.

On a lighter side, our local access TV station is airing our Non Travel video and has some humerous comments.
If you're not living on the edge you're taking up too much room.

Congratulations - I expect it is not the first time either of you have been on TV.

Sorry to hear that. Makes it even more real, when you know someone who lost the fight. The sooner we get a vaccine ( if possible ) The better.

                      The highlight of my week.

Grocery shopping this morning. The main supermarkets (Sainsbury and Tesco ) had queues of people waiting. So decided to not bother with those, and go to Lidl and Home Bargains. Got everything we needed ( although not some of the brands I would have liked ), for the week and came home.

I will wash the car and polish it ready for my next weeks adventure

This week will be more decorating , and mowing the grass.

                      Such an exciting life

Anyone finding their broadband is slower ? According to a speed check with Sky, I am getting download of 59 mbp's But checking with Ookla speed test. I am getting a download of 17 mbp's

I went grocery shopping this morning as well - I'd been to Tescos last week so this time it was off to Waitrose because the quality of veg in our local Tescos is abysmal - ok if you eat it on the day, otherwise forget it.

20 minute socially distanced queue (half of that in a spring drizzle). The monotony was broken when I had to back up (plus the 20-30 people behind me... that much have looked amusing) to allow a chap on his mobility scooter access to the cash machine. I had no problem, but there were a few mutters behind. I know that several of you have to use them, as does my uncle. I couldn't move any further forward, so why not back up a bit? Really, the attitude of some people surprises me. Then I heard one of the mutterers being told by the staff cleaning trollies that there should only be one person per trolley. Her response? I thought you were allowed to bring children with you... yeah, no one had said a word to the mother with her young daughter but her daughter was about 20.

Then you've got the ones who decide to daydream in front of the reduced biscuit selection whilst standing in the middle of the aisle. I can't get past, the staff lass t'other side can't get past so we all stood there for 5 minutes whilst the shopper chose their 1 packet of hobnobs.

Our street has set up a WhatsApp shopping group but unfortunately the specialist stir-fry sauce she'd requested was out of stock.

We're lucky living in a rural area in some ways - it may be a 10-mile slog to a supermarket, but a few wholesale farm veg suppliers are now selling to the public.

Broadband speed seems about the same, 71mb down, 18-odd up.

You made your shopping trip sound comical, Caz. Although I am sure it was far from being amusing. I am pleased that I only do it once a week.

                          Stay safe, and keep well.

You have to laugh... or else you'd end in custody if you bashed all the stupid people!
