How did you get to my album?

The only way I can get to it is through the User CP.
If I search under members I come up with a blank
I clicked on your profile and your album list is there on the right of the page .. so I clicked on 'fishy things' and it took me to your album.

Having said that - I have to admit I've never created any albums of my own. I only ever upload my pics to "member galleries" and other categories such as Nature, landscapes, Architecture or whatever ... but I always have a copy in my general 'member gallery as I find them more easily in there.

So - I've asked Stephen to help me out with the gallery questions as he's more clued up than I am with the more intricate gallery workings.

Yep that's right. Look under where it says 'welcome Pol, Rab or whoever' and you'll see a link to 'Private Messages' below the welcome message.

          Rab,

I think I've finally sussed what's happening with the albums you've created. I think it's because you've created vBulletin albums (ie albums within the message board software, instead of creating them in the main photo gallery (which is different software from vB - and comes from a different source, different server too I think - though it's technically coded and linked to work alongside the DPN message board.

I think maybe you'd be better to upload your pics directly into the main gallery - rather than having them stuck onto the side of the forum software ... then that would make it much easier for you and everyone else to see them and add ratings or comments if they so wish.

I hope that makes sense. You can always create separate alums within the main gallery, as well as having pics in your 'member gallery' or other categories such as landscape etc.

I suggest you could probably put repeat copies in your personal member gallery. No need to delete the first lot ... there's plenty space available here so it's not a problem.

          Hope that helps.
