Re: Open College of Arts - BA Creative Arts Degree
Just to let anyone know who is interested - I've started a blog for the course, this is a 'learning log' that is an essential part of the course. I've never kept a blog before, so it's a bit basic, but if you want to have a peek, it's here!
I'm still pretty impressed with the structure and presentation of the materials, but I've already hit a couple of snags that make me think the course materials haven't been updated for quite some time.

Hehe, I was wondering if someone would say that! I just want to keep my coursework and the photos I take purely for pleasure (the ones in my gallery here) separate. That way, if I get bored of the course, I've still got good ol' DPNow to escape to!
Re: Open College of Arts - BA Creative Arts Degree
Just an update on this, in case anyone's interested. I had an unexpected break from the course, as my daughter was ill for a while - so photography had to take a back seat. However, over the past three weeks, I've been working hard at it, and am really enjoying it.
I had my feedback for my first assignment this morning (just two days after I posted it - impressive!). The feedback was detailed and constructive, and the tutor seems very supportive. I'm finding the course interesting so far. This particular part of it is very 'Photoshop' based (I think the Level 1 courses, which I didn't do, concentrate much more on 'in the field' camera techniques) but I enjoy post-processing, so it's useful for me.
If anyone's interested in seeing the type of projects I'm being asked to do, my newly-updated blog is here.

I'm impressed with what you seem to be achieving on the course. Loved the Blog, its a great record of what you have done and seems to explain your thinking and how you are going about what you are doing.

Thanks Stephen. I was concerned about the money the course costs, but I love having something to exercise my brain, and the course materials are very well written in my opinion.
The blog is the only real written element of the course, aside from one essay that I'm supposed to be writing at the moment (so I suppose I'd better stop reading DPNow and get back to it! ).
