Hi Josh, yes, this is my first full frame and I'm sure I'm going to be blown away with it. Ordered mine from Robert White I understand they are despatching as follows:

Folks that have paid the full amount up front get the first tranche, followed by those that have paid a deposit only (fair enough really).

Not sure where I come in the pecking order but I did pay in full. I'll be well disappointed if I've not got it by early January (though they did say that if you had to wait "too long" they would refund any monies paid if you decided to change your mind/go elsewhere). I assume a small independent supplier like White's is not going to have as much clout as one of the nationals when it comes to supply from Canon, but I really like the level of personal service and expert advice that I can get with this independent so I don't mind waiting a little longer if necessary.

As you're an experienced Mk I user, do gives us your views when you get your hands on your Mk II (hope it's soon )

I hope so too. I rang Jacobs again today and was told since i had paid in full I should have no problem getting my order in the first batch. But no idea when yet!
