'er indoors thought they looked fine though and says I'm just too critical . I'll see what the "client" (family freebie) thinks on Sunday when I hand them over.

The PhotoBox service, as ever, was really first class.
Stuart, you make a good point about print consistency. You really should be able to get back prints as you see them on the screen, but also they should be consistently of the same quality with no changes in colour etc. I should have mine back tomorrow so it'll be interesting to see how they compare with the last lot I had done.

I have produced the annual What Digital Camera magazine high street and online photo printing services tests for the last few years and PhotoBox has been the winner all along - until last year. I do fear that their quality is slipping, though they are still one of the fastest to turn orders around.

I'd be very interested to hear of any feedback concerning their print quality.

Ian, are you allowed to tell us who won - or do I have to buy the magazine?

I haven't started work on this year's survey.

Last year, Pixum was the online winner, narrowly ahead of Bonusprint. Qute a surprise really as these are services that compete on price, though Bonusprint came top in print quality overall, though Pixum wasn't far behnd and was notably cheaper.

Well I've had 2 batches delivered this week and they seem to be as good as ever. Some of them were for a repeat order and they seem to be as good as the original order (from a few months ago).

While I'm about it - I use albums from HERE at Picture Lizard. I especially like their Ring Binders, superb quality, and I use the refill packs from there too. I just had a look at their selection of Wedding albums as I thought maybe Stuart would be interested in having a browse through them.

The orders can sometimes take about a week to be delivered but I always use the standard postage - but they also have a next day delivery service for those who want it.

I hasten to add that I've only ever used them for album supplies. I've never used them for any prints.

Okay Pol, thanks for that additional info, still good to know what's out there.

                  Cheers,

                    Re: Photobox

Had some enlargements done at PhotoBox (A2) quality as good as ever.

If you're not happy with them they will reprint, but I'm not sure you'll get consistency from any on-line printer.

I always have to remember to upload new versions of my files as sRGB jpegs as I usually work in Adobe RGB on tiffs or psd.
