    Wow! Gorgeous!

You could clone out the blurred line in the background and it would almost be perfect!

I can see this being a POTD

By the way - to all our North American friends - does this look like a robin to you? I think I have asked this before, but whenever I have seen robins in pictures from the US, they're obviously another species.

The "American Robin" is larger, about the size of a Blackbird. They do occasionally get blown to our shores but I gather they tend not to survive long in our climate. Here's a news report of what can happen to them too.

I seem to recall reading about a similar incident quite recently.

Yeah well, all the birds merit that sort of Latin name if our Hostas (below a feeder) are anything to go by.

Do you mean the American Robin? If so, they're very rarely seen in the UK. Only a few may get blown off course and end up here each year.

I'd have thought you'd probably get the Long-tailed tits but I can't be sure. Google the RSPB website, or for "Birds of Britain' (or similar) and you'll find all sorts of links.

Hopefully Andy Bright may also look in here and add to the thread. Andy is an expert birder, bird photographer and teacher of bird and wildlife photography. Here's Andy's profile - click on his website link at http://www.digiscoped.com/ and there's all sorts of info about digiscoping and dSLR bird photography + some of his superb photos.

                Nice one Pops! Smashing shot!

I am going to try and get a shot of the squirell tomorrow. I replenished the bird stock this morning on the Eucalyptus, and treated the squirells to some hazelnuts, so fingers crossed on the weather.

a few from my garden, not that I am bragging or anything.
Dragon flies These are normally found hovering around the pool, Just imagine the pic I could take with a DSLR

Touraco This noisy ******* wakes us up many a morning, Theres also a whip poor will that I could happily have eliminated. Cant't find him to take a pic. elusive little bugger

Vervet Monkeys The fellas can become a real pain in the **** when they get fed. It's best to ignore tham but there is always some stupid **** that will feed.

Gecko This chap lives in my ceiling and comes down in the evenings to hunt mosquitos, I spotted his big brother the other night and did not take a pic. He gets to be about 20 x as big as the baby in this shot

                    Oh my word!

what an interesting line up there Guy!

It seems amazing to me that you actually have monkeys come into your back garden. Your so lucky!

I guess the nearest to that we have is the squirell.

                    Thanks for sharing!

Just found this thread. Great photos...

We get a variety of birds in the garden but the main visitors are foxes. Here's a couple. The first one is an adult male who has been visiting for a couple of years now.

And the second one is a young male who is challenging for the territory
