Is that a stitched pano or a single frame crop?

I was so impressed by this piece of art work that I spent some time working out how best to represent it.
As I had my E-PL1 & 14-42 with me and didn't fancy paddling in the Thames to get a full frame shot, a stitch was my only option.
I took 4 frames for a sweep panorama from the furthest point away that I could safely get and 14 frames with the camera held vertically to produce a high resolution linear stitch.
The image posted is a reduced resolution version of the 4 frame sweep panorama, which looks every bit as good as the 130MB HiRes Linear Stitch.

      All done with Microsoft ICE

If anyone is interested in seeing high quality graffiti, there is a lot of it (over a mile) located along this stretch of the Thames.

Microsoft has a new free panorama app for the iPhone called Photosynth. I tried to use the embed code here but it didn't work.

Here's an [ame="http://photosynth.net/view.aspx?cid=1c196205-7763-4e1b-b862-5b2ab2ca3d11"]example I took recently[/ame]. Use click-and-drag or click on the small play button.

That's pretty good. Microsoft have also produced a free Windows tool you can find here:

I wonder if there is anything like Photosynth for Android?

Thanks for the heads up on the free stitching software. I'll give it a try.

I've been using MS ICE for about a year now, an excellent tool, fast and easy in use. It has always had a link to Photosynth on the dialogue but after a quick look I didn't use it. Must be much improved now.

                      Hi Patmoor,

Just went back to ICE for a little play. I threw eight images at it, and in about six seconds this pano appeared. Unfortunately there is a big error in one spot if you can find it.
I could have had it saved as Photoshop layers and corrected the error but he jpeg will have to do!

I did well again Autumn. Second in a poker tourney for just under a grand. Won about $1200 on the slots, wife won about $1500 on the slots, a couple of hundred at Blackjack but lost a couple of hundred on the roulette. Day I was leaving they knocked $550 off my food and drink bill as well. Also gave me the Executive Host's email address so as she could arrange rooms for next time cheaper. Guess they want their wee drop money back. :-)

Beautiful golf course and beautiful image.

I continue to be dazzled by the iPhone 5's new panorama feature. You aim, start, pan, and click done. The stitching is done instantly. We had 45 people at the condo on Saturday for a Thanksgiving "Leftovers" party. I took this shot with the iPhone. The woman in the white sweater at the back wasll was walking while I took the shot but it somehow adjusted for the movement.
