I believe you had the same problem
Anne's was first and fortunately SRS Microsystems had one in stock so it was replaced. I attempted to repair the old one but some copper springs were missing - my gluing attempt failed.
Shortly after mine parted but my gluing attempt minus the ball bearings and copper springs was successful in part. It fits well and can be reversed for storage on the lens. What it doesn't do is slide up and down the lens to perform the function of storing the lens as it should. I'm happy with my repair though.

I was side tracked last night when looking at the scene - nice shot Andy, also pleased the car passed its MOT.
I have fingers crossed - as later this year my car will have been with us for twenty years.

A shorter walk along the canal produced little to write about with the exception of sighting a Kingfisher. The first seen for quite a few days.
A boat reflection caught my attention considering the cloudy skies.
Olympus OM D EM 1 coupled with the 40-150 lens inc 1.4 converter - A.mode - f6.3 - iso 400 - ev - 0.7 etc
