Re: My Image of the Day
Nothing from last weekend's wedding yet (back at work, and like to edit that kind of thing in daylight hours, if I can).
So instead, one from yesterday: a bit of backstory - I saw a lens in CEX on Tuesday - a Samyang 8mm manual focus fisheye - at a _very_ reasonable price so asked them to put it by and I'd be in the following day (after I'd done a bit of googling to see if it was suitable). That had backfired on me last week, when a local pawnshop sold the NEO light I'd made an offer on. Anyway, shop lad must have liked me because he "forgot" to put it back in the case. It's been bought primarily for concert/festivals/gigs, but obviously need to get out there and practice, so took it into town yesterday when the Rallye Monte Carlo Historique came to town. Unfortunately on the late shift, so I didn't get the cars being released from outside the Town Hall, but did manage to catch a couple in the narrow back streets.
Definitely more practice required, but think I'm going to enjoy this:

Flowering Cherry. Hopefully the whole tree should be covered in flowers in a couple of weeks.

I only get down to 10 mm. I always fancied a fish eye lens.

Re: My Image of the Day
Thank you for your kind comments Gary - I did take quite a few that day, and did try to correct the distortion where I could. A friend suggested DXO, which I haven't used since v6 but I wasn't keen so I edited mine in Lightroom using the Lens profile correction tools.
