I love dogs, I'm crazy about them but can no longer keep them as we have neither the time nor the space or mobility to care for them properly. So I take shots of dogs when I'm out and about.

This is Louis, a beautiful yong softie who was waiting for his master to get off the train. His mistress was in a nearby shop so Louis and I had a conversation and he licked my hand then posed for me.

Does anyone else have any "nice doggie" pictures to share? Go on - send me into spasms of delight and show us yer dogs. We see loads of cats but I wanna see dogs, dogs and more dogs. Anyone got a Pembroke Corgi photo (my favourite breed).

    More dogs ...... awww.

First shot, a couple of dalmations out and about with Cruella. The other 99 were still in the truck.

.... and this little delightful little fella was a joy to watch as he and the owner did some obedience training. Lovely little dog.

Yeah but I dare bet your duck shots will never receive the fame and acclaim of the one from 'Duckie Jarvis' ............ ROFLMAO

BTW - I build up confidence for getting candids and street shots by approaching dog owners, chatting to them and asking permission to take a shot of their dog.

Yeah - he's priceless. Hi there, Ben.

Those eyes goldfish bowl eyes and and daft ears always set me off. I'm creased as I type, bless him.

The pink skin inside his ears is fantastic too - looks like silk.

And this is my partner's dog - Snoopy. She's 18, so not always the most active of pets! - and definitely not since she had a stroke last year.

She's a miniature Jack Russell, very easy to look after when his lordship is away. Not your usual JR, think I've only heard her bark about half a dozen times in 3 years.

Aaaaah ..... bless her. She's a sweetie and a grand old lady too.

Good that she still manages to get around the garden and enjoy life though.

Thanks Pol , Ben was bought as a direct replacement for my old Staffie 'Skip'
The day i took Skip down to the vets for the final time , i held his paw and then cryed my eyes out .
Went for a drive to get myself together and then decided with the wife to get another one that day .
Picked out a 3 week old Ben that evening and took him home 3 weeks later ..
Bens 3 in June and like all Staffies he's wonderful with people but not too good with dogs that challenge him , par for the course with the breed.
This was Ben at 8 weeks trying to climb on our 6inch high patio

                          Re: Dogs,Dogs,Dogs

I don't have a dog, but I like them very much since I was kid. It looks that they like me too.

A friend of mine bought some years ago a Rotwailer for protection for his store and sent it for a month of training to these special dog training centers. He took it back but this dog was too aggressive since he was born and different compared to other Rotwailers in behavior. They even told him that after he picked it up from the training center. Finally he was afraid to keep the dog in the store just in case he rips apart someone. So he took it home and kept it in the balcony behind double 5mm glass rolling doors.

One day I visited him and he wanted to do a test. Anybody who was going close to the balcony glass doors the dog started barking like crazy and jumping on the doors. So he asked me too, to go too behind the glass doors.
I went and the dog came from the other side and was looking at me very quiet and didn't even barked or jumped not even once.
He was so surprised and asked me to go with him out in the balcony. So we went out and the dog was still quiet. Then he left me alone there with the dog and the dog was still quiet.
At the end he told me that the only person the dog never barked was to him and to me. Even to his wife and kids it was barking many times.

So I guess the dogs generally like me as I never had any trouble even with those stray ones on the street. I hope one day (in the next 2-3 years) when I plan to built my own house to get one nice Wolfdog, as I've always wanted, since didn't happen yet.

This is a photo of someone's dog that I took when I was sitting in a cafe and he came and sat next to me for quite sometime.

I remember very well the time when Skip 'crossed the rainbow bridge' and was 'Promoted to Glory ... then Ben bouncing in captivating us all with his charm. I mean .. he's just not the sort of dog anyone could forget in a hurry. The ultimate 'mutts nuts', eh

Me too Pol! These are my two - the softest Doberman I've ever seen, and the scruffiest Border Terrier.
