Right sort of area, but not quite. The black building is of some historical interest and featured on a BBC program a few years ago.

Just take it easy. There's always tomorrow. And if tomorrow doesn't come, you won't have wasted any effort on it.

Confession time: I thought it was a sail loft, and that's what I Googled to get the result!

                Anyway, back to churches:

Fantastic architecture, I like the twin Bell cote.

Haven't a clue of the location but will be interested in knowing where it is.

Want a clue? It is now regarded by the appropriate religion's governing body as "redundant".

Hmm. Apsed east end, bell-cote over chancel arch, hint of transept, very odd windows, 19th century, probably high church CofE/RC. Still thinking ..... !

Time for another clue? It was built opposite a model village for the use of the local mill workers.

Sounds like an interesting place to visit. I look forward to someone knowing where this is...

How about St Stephen's, Copley (near Halifax) - c.1847-53. Built by W H Crossland (a pupil of Scott) for Edward Akroyd, a noted Halifax philanthropist. He also established Akroydon, another model village (and which has a church by Scott himself).
