A wild guess but were you riding in a cable car somewhere near Koblenz when you took the picture?

No, I was at the side of the road (the same one you can see in the photo) round the valley. It's not in Germany, but is in cable car territory.

Would I do such a thing?

Naah, I'm genuinely baffled this time. My initial thoughts were some sort of Grimm's fairytaleTheme Park in the Black Forest. Next I got stuck on the ideea of 'The Sound of Music' scenery and Tyrolean cable cars.

I'm still hovering somewhere in the region of the France/Swiss/German borders but I really don't know, I'm just guessing and googling.

Well I don't know about anyone else but I've been looking around the Swiss Alps without any success. Was I in the wrong country again?

Pol, you're in the correct country and area. As the crow flies, it's within c.25 miles of Zermatt, but (being Switzerland) much longer by road!

I really don't lnow, I can't find it. I've enjoyed looking though.

I did find some fantastic videos of driving through the Simplon Pass though, thoroughly enjoyed them too.

OK, it's the 'pyramids' (actually a glacial Moraine protected from weathering by the cap-stones) at Euseigne.

Thanks, Pol. I'm sorry you didn't get it, but I've since looked on Google Maps and I couldn't identify it (even knowing it was there!). I've driven up and down the road from La Luette shown on the video, but it took me a lot longer than that motorcyclist!
