Spot on.. I was working in High Wycombe for a while last year and was looking for somewhere I could shoot red kites. Dashwood mausoleum was suggested but they didn't tell me how to get up there so I climbed the hill with a full camera bag in whistle n flute. It wasn't until a few days later that they told me about the road!
Thanks, Caz. My sympathy for your long walk (but I hope you found the kites)! As it's beside an 18th century church, I'd always assume road access. Asceticism among priests had died out by then!
I'll look out something (and then work out how to post it!).
Apologies, but I am having difficulty uploading the next entry. I have asked Ian for assistance and 'normal service' on the thread will be resumed as soon as possible!

Ian's rather bogged down at the moment. Whilst you're waiting to hear from him you might find the help you need in the gallery instruction forum at ...

Resize your image to approximately 850pixel width as that means people can view it without scrolling. You can upload an image of about 400-500k without problems, though approx 250k uses less space and less time to upload and view.
This is a forum board for practising and testing things out, like editing your posts, experimenting with picture insertions, message formatting, etc. This board is only for temporary posts and threads, so any over a week old may be deleted without notice.
Experiment as much as you wish in the user test forum. Start a new thread for yourself and try showing images in there. Best to choose 'original image' and 'inline' when you post the image.
Just keep trying by selecting your images from your computer and uploading them to 'member galleries' and I'm sure Ian will get back to you as soon as he can.

Thanks Pol. That's very helpful. I've got the shot into my gallery, but can't get it into a post. My account settings say that I 'may not post attachments', so that may be the problem.

You're getting there. There's a very easy way post the image in the forum post by clicking 'Open' under the 'My Pics' link. You'll see that beneath the emoticons to the right of the posting window.
Here's a link where Ian explains it very clearly with screenshots

Basically, your gallery images are shown when you click on that 'Open' then you simply click on your chosen image and it's automatically posted into the message.
With a lot of help (thanks to Pol & veggiesosage), I seem to have cracked it! Sorry for the delay. I haven't worked out how to resize the image, but you can click on it to enlarge.

Anyway, where is this?
Andrew
I don't know where it is but I just wanted to say well done for managing to upload and post the image.
If you choose 'inline' and 'original image' from the menu along the top of the 'my pics' window that will post an original sized image instead of a click-on thumbnail version.
Do feel free to experiment ad infinitum in the User Test Board. (I experiment in there myself at times when I've forgotten some function or other).
