OK, so I didn't word it very well, the image shows a close-up of part of an object/material and I would like to know what that object/material is?
Kurt you are correct, I was looking for a guess at what the Iron Pyrites was embedded in, but I won't make this drag out any longer, it is found in a roof slate.

Here is the next one. It is getting difficult to find something new. I seem to have lots of ideas when I can't guess the object, as soon as I get a turn my mind goes blank!
