Hehe, I thought it was intriguing that they sold Guinness and motorcycles, surely not the best combination!

Nobody seemed to be getting very close so I thought I'd give an easy clue to keep the thread moving!

Could it be this headstone, which looks much older than the one you showed?

Thomas Sivelle, Smuggler buried in Binesead, Isle of Wight.

That's the one, in Binstead. I took the snapshot only last week, so someone cleans it up.

There are a number of different accounts of his death, some claiming it was a mistake others that he was pursued by boat when he jettisoned many barrels during the chase.

I remember seeing the amphitheatre a few years ago when I spent some time travelling around Europe. I wasn't sure whether it was the one in Verona or Arles but the background looked more "Verona-ish"! I will look out a shot later.

Ooo-er, I hope I know where this is. Taken some time ago with Nikon D70. I was with friends, heading through the rain to a bar, so more of a snap shot, but it has reminded me of the dust problems I used to suffer with the Nikon D70. . . . Pause.. . . OK, I just popped over to Google to make sure this is where I think it is, it is. Lots of other pictures of this place, many of them looking as though the building is falling over too! Its pretty big and you can't get very far away from it. And if you get near to it you risk getting wet and thats not only because of the damp climate here-abouts. That is enough clues to be going on with.

Come along pilgrims, you recognise this place. It is an important stop along your route.
