Not sure if it is because it is difficult or peopel are just not playing. If the former, here is the clue that should give it away. All we need is the place, not needing the name of the deceased. :-)

Good girl It is one of the Earl of Rosslyn's graves and in the grounds of Rosslyn Chapel. Not the first Earl though. He was the first Grand Master in Scottish Rite Freemasonry after the foundation of Grand Lodge in 1736 which was a hundred years or so before this grave. He is buried inside I seem to recall. This one is the 4th Earl and was Grand Master from 1870 to 1873. The 2nd Earl was also a GM but the third not. Interesting picture link you had there Autumn. Lodge Kyle 1117 is quite a few miles away up in Kyle of Lochalsh in Ross-shire. Back to you if anybody is playing.

Very interesting, methinks you either are a Freemason or are very interested in it!

Anyway, here is my next challenge. I'm beginning to think that we are the only 2 players

Answer to first statement is both :-)

I have been through that very door I think as I was transitting someplace. I am going to say Heathrow as I tend not to go through London often, preferring Scipol.

Re: Challenge: where's this place 2?

              Thought so.

You are almost there, but I was looking for the name of the area. What is Scipol? Google shows Amsterdam airport, but it is spelt differently.

I think only you and I are playing this game.

The transit area? Should have been Schipol. Thick fingers :-)

Well you did say Heathrow and that was correct. What I was looking for was Terminal 5, but as no one else seems to be playing. It's over to you Bull.

Ah, should have said terminal 5. I just assumed that if it was Heathrow it would be terminal 5. Cool.
Here is the next one then. SOme people say I had absolutely no need to have gone there and I am even worse now that I have been.

LOL. Go on Caz, have a guess at this one. It really is a very famous place.

Is it the Scottish castle famed by Monty Python in search of the Holy Grail?

No. But good call. That was Doune Castle. It is in Perthsire but closer to Stirling. I use to play in that area quite a lot as a kid.

This is over the sea a bit to be sure.

Ah! do I understand where all the blarney is leading us, or am I still off course?
