    a) It's not Brighton.

    b) That's not a Hotel (assuming you mean the tall building at the end).

And yeah - the Grand in Brighton is certainly grander than anything in my snapshot!

      Hi Pol
I thought it would have gone by now. Didn't want you think there was no interest but we're going away tonight so there was no point me taking part. I didn't know where it was but suspected the south coast.
Now using help from Mr google I got the post code of the hotel in your snap at a certain town that is 'steeped in history' as per Barr1e entered it in Google Earth street view and would you believe up popped your picture.
Anyway I'm sure somebody else will reveal the locatiom.

      Regards
      Martin

Yeah I'm surprised nobody said where it is yet too. I said it was easy, even left that 'hotel' sign in without blurring it ... LOL

Steeped in history and full of philanthropists wearing raggy trousers ... possibly even staying in those yukky seaside pink and yellow painted BB places. Mebbe one of philanthropists even did the pink or yellow paint jobs, eh - could even be why the paint is peeling.

Yes you got it. St Leonards actually which is part of Hastings.

That tall building at the end is Marine Court, another one of those 30s 'ship' style buildings that pop up around the place.

            So it's you turn now.

Isn't anyone going to have a go at this challenge. All the information is there if you care to follow the clues and guess a little.

My guess is outside Piccolinos Restaurant, near to the Winter Gardens in Sheffield.

Well done you Geoff. I thought there was a sufficient enough clue for those whose weren't from the north.

                      Over to you then Geoff.

                        Thanks Audrey.

I've run out of ideas and holiday photos for this challenge so here is something different. Obviously I haven't taken this photo as it was taken 10 years before I was born, the man on the left is my Dad. There are clues in the photo but I suspect that this scene has changed completely over the following years.
Where is this, or I should say where was this?

                        Geoff.

No, not in France although the man with my Dad is French. Another clue, it was taken in 1941.

Not in Africa, although you are heading in the right direction.
