I'm wondering if olives count as 'fruit'I should think so - and tomatoes (which are technically berries).

Ian, olives are certainly fruit but not summer ones. Olives don't begin to ripen until November and here are not usually fully ripe until mid-December.

Great stuff everyone
We're off to the Filipino Barrio Festival in Lampton Park (Hounslow) this afternoon - not been before but I hope to see some weird and wonderful tropical fruits there...

Oh well, no fresh fruits at the festival - lots of cooked food though! Will post some pics in another thread later

Sorry guys, can't help. No fruit this year. The rotten Spring and early summer gales wrecked the fruit crop.
