I really like that bench, although I can't seem to post a reply to it... Looks a great place.

One more from me, this time playing with a macro lens

Thanks for sharing! Interesting looking flower; almost orchid-like.

Taken yesterday afternoon - are these snowdroops?

I'm really glad you've posted these and asked the question.

We have them too. There was a clump in the back when we moved here and we've been splitting the clump and replanting since so we now have lots of them scattered around. I've always referred to them as "Giant Snowdrops" but never really known exactly what they are.

They are gorgeous though. Always a very welcome sight because we always know Spring has truly arrived when they bloom. Always reliable and always reappear after dividing the clump of bulbs.

Your pics prodded me into getting aaround to Googling for possible info about "Giant Snowdrops" and I came up with this link http://www.snowdrop.org.uk/FAQs.htm

Also have a look at the Galanthus viridapice on the link HERE

9" stems - sounds about right and also with the green tips on the outer petals. So I suppose 'Giant Snowdrops' is near enough and easier to remember.

Peder's interpretation of Spring is different and interesting, very good

Anne's Coot and chicks - just how did you get that close?!
