    Re: 2010 Spring Challenge!

Now summer is starting here! The daffodils are almost finished, the crab apple and plum trees are in blossom, and now the Queen of my garden is covered in flowers. The purple magnolia. The individual flowers are not very impressive, and do not last very long, but the bush really lights up a darker corner.

Lovely pics Roger, how lucky you are to have this in your garden.

Most of the bulbs are still not up but this one was enjoying the sunshine this weekend.

My first sighting of ducklings this year

How many can you count? This appeared to be one brood as there wasn't another mum in sight.

Oh boy, busy mother. I was on the outlook today for ducklings and only spotted one sitter. Hemel Hempstead has a first it seems.
                --------------------------------------------------------

An update on the goslings - eight eggs of which seven hatched a week ago. The parents insist on showing them off on the local moor - now they only number four.
                -------------------

Thanks for the pic Ian, so nice to see new life.

                Regards. Barr1e

                    Ian,

David's asking ... are those lenses for the NX10 made by Schneider?
Were they bought out by Samsung?

No, these are Samsung lenses, though there may be some Schneider NX lenses in the future. I have an interview with a senior Samsung person that will be published soon that covers this. Schneider remains an independent company.

It was the blue ring on the lenses that had prompted him to ask - so thanks for that.

He's reading Mark Goldstein's review of the NX10 as I type. Also looking forward to the report on your interview with the Samsung person too.

Just curious and interested rather than intending to add one to his collection ... I think.

Lovely scene, I really like it. However just a small error in the stitching about 1/3rd of the way across from the left
