Re: Dawn at Dunstanborough
Well at least it paid off this time Stephen. Excellent results.
Even when everything is right with the weather, it is not a cert that the pics are going to be spot on as the light is changing by the second and the sun rises so quickly. What a strange shape the sun is.

I was just thinking - this is the complete anthithesis of the creative limited depth of field challenge assignment that I have just startedOriginally posted by Stephen View Post
I can see we will have to do a creative maximum depth of field tutorial!

Re: Dawn at Dunstanborough
Hi Stephen -
Re the 1st - I liked this the second I saw it and I know why. This is Anne's style of shot.
On a more personal level it is quite stunning. I can imagine it in A3 hung in pride of place.

Yes indeed Audrey, conditions were good this time. You are right about the sun too. Things happen quickly and its not long before the sun becomes too bright to take photos. Not really sure why the odd shape, perhaps someone else can explainOriginally posted by Autumn View PostWell at least it paid off this time Stephen. Excellent results.

Re: Dawn at Dunstanborough
Many thanks Jocelyn. We had a discussion about the seagulls, whether to leave or clone out. It was decided that if they were clearly visible as gulls they could be left, but if they were simply dots in the sky it was probably best to clone out. I too felt these birds added a little to the overall feel of the shotOriginally posted by Jocelyn Walker View PostTruly magnificent Stephen! I really love the composition in 2nd shot. The sea gulls give it added interest & atmosphere! The light from the sun has been perfectly captured as it emanates outwards! Poster quality definitely!

but this was taken this morning just after the sun had risen. Left home at 01.30 and was back home at 11.00 with a bag full of keepers. Will show some more when I get time

? I think twice at 4.30 am to get to take a sunrise
