    They were This is the very reason you need a slow shutter speed in order to capture the blur of the lights. I fast shutter speed would just have frozen the lights and no blur and therefore the effect wold have been created. I actually took them hand held too, camera shake in these circumstances was not really an issue

        Thank you, yes I did enjoy the spectacle, though I was working and had my mind very much on how to capture something of the experience
