Its a fair point Ron, but Picasa would have struggled to edit and process 319 raw files, after rotating, colour correcting, altering levels, cropping where necessary etc all in a few hours this afternoon. Not to mention keeping the original in perfect condition and producing a set of perfect jpegs for the client.

When I have to straighten a picture this is my favorite method! The grid lines make it a snap! Good luck!
I knocked this up just now:

I'm interested in feedback concerning the quality of the playback.

It lasts 44 seconds and there is no sound, but it is 24MB long. It works fine on my ADSL connection here at the office (about 2.5Mbit/sec) but I wouldn't want to try it over dial-up

I've finally decided to purchase a licence for Camtasia for screen recording, though here's a tip, don't buy it from SnagIT - not only do they force you to pay almost a third more in UK currency, but a UK reseller was actually cheaper than the US dollar price

Nice demo Ian. That looks a lot of fun. I'm a bit peeved my cheap software only lets me press two buttons to do the same. I suppose if you payees a bit more you get to do a bit more. Oh well.

And the movie without the need for the link:

It really needs playback controls - I'll get there in the end!

The quality is very good. Slightly slow loading for me though as I only have a 512 connection. Not too slow though, acceptable enough.

BTW .. don't forget to do a demo of the straightening tool in ACR and Lightroom. Ron would enjoy that particular tool ......... one quick swipe along the horizon and it's done.

I've said it before and I'll say it again.

There's absolutely no point, or fun, in being the richest corpse in the cemetery.

Well now they must have copied Microsoft's Digital Image. I've been doing that for years. Oh and by the way Stephen, Picasa is for amateurs so batch editing is not a requirement. On the other hand Microsoft's Digital Image dose batch edit. So I'm still quids in.
