Re: Fortnightly Salon Competition No. 6

I can hardly believe it. I don't know what to say. I just thought I was going to relax over Christmas._

Well thank you I will have to think of a theme. I will let you know tomorrow.

I may have recovered by tomorrow.

Thanks Stephen - your e-mail is the only indication that I have won! I got that.

Re the card - this could be an incentive for me to buy a tiny mate for my Fuji and G3, for my husband and I to share.

A lot of really great entries and picking a winner has been very hard. However for me the winner is Autumn with the picture "youngest grandson having a few tears". I love the eye contact and the raw emotion being demonstrated.

2nd place goes to Andrew Thatcher for the really creative use of lighting

and 3rd place to Bearface. Great composition and extremely sharp.

Thanks all. I look forward to seeing the next competition.

            Best Regards

            Josh
Congratulations, Autumn - and I think thoroughly deserved! And a second time winner too

Autumn is also the first winner of the additional prize I managed to secure through deal with Kingston Technology and she will soon be receiving an excellent 2GB Kingston Ultimate memory card (Autumn - PM me with the card format you need).

I also noticed that the top three judged were monochromes - interesting.

Re: Fortnightly Salon Competition No. 6

Thank you all for your congratulations.

I am still thinking of a theme for the next salon.

Ian. I really would like an ultra small mate for my Fuji S9500 and G3. As I have plenty of contact flash media, I need to buy a new camera to match new small media - say SD. Got to work on my significant other (I picked that term up from Tim, Bearface - I like it - well it's better than "Him indoors" or "The husband.") It could be our joint Christmas present to each other.

              I'll be in touch.

Congratulations on your well deserved win. A candidly well chosen shot portraying the emotions of a little boy! It would be a good ad for 'kiss it better with a band-aid!'
