Re: DP Salon Competition No 62 - STREETS

Not an easy subject for me at this time of year. Beautiful weather, all the schools in the Paris zone still on holiday, almost impossible to find a street not full of tourist cars and kids!

Re: DP Salon Competition No 62 - STREETS

Hi, I would like to dismiss my first contribution to this Streets Saloon because it is too serious!
I prefer to include the following picture as my representative instead of the former one.It was taken in a chilling winter morning in Time Square, NY.
As this guy was allowed to sing in a public space, I hope nobody will get upset

So noted Horacio. Great choice. Just hours before the close of the salon. Any else?

          Thanks!

So by my clock (22:20 BST) there are 40 minutes left!

              Let me just correct myself!

Midnight GMT is 1AM BST (we're one hour ahead for summer!). So actually it was just 9:20PM GMT, there was two hours and 40 minutes left!

Here, my eye is drawn to the lines. The road, telephone poles and trees all leading to the horizon, while the of hue of the road provides a beautiful accent of golden color.

Well done to all the winners from me too - Cogito's image is almost surreal. Many thanks PJPhoto for a great theme

Re: DP Salon Competition No 62 - STREETS

                        Wow!

That was nice to wake up to this morning,

Thanks to you Phillip for running the salon and I am honoured you chose my effort, especially against some great photographs from others. (Congratulations especially, to Stephen and Pedar for your great entries) .

Well, I should be concentrating hard in a few meetings at work today, but I think at least part of my mind will instead be trying to figure out a theme for the next Salon!

                        Regards,

                        Neil.

I've got to admit that's the one I would have choosen.
