Neil, every time I look at your photo it has a 'model village' feel about it, it's uncanny! Love it.

          Nice one, Horacio.

Cogito . . .Stamford looks very different to what it did in the 60s no pedestrian zone then. I actually worked near there then for almost half a day. I was late my first morning and didn't go back after lunch. Plenty of work in those days, I had another job by the end of the week!

I like the effect and would be interested to know how it was achieved. Camera, lens or image editor?

                Here's my entry.

A Street in York City, England

I can't seem to improve the quality. It's fine before I reduce it!

After having a moan about people posting images too big, I have now done the same. When I made it smaller, the quality was terrible.

Anyway, if you press F11 you can see it without scrolling.

I used photoshop to add some lens blurring to give a "tiltshift" effect - that gives the minaturisation feel that Gina mentioned. Hopefully not too much to take away from the original image, tho.....

Hundreds (if not thousands) of tourists travel this road every day en route to Namibia's stunning sand dunes. The road starts at the Sesriem gate and wends its way for 60 kms through the Namib Naukluft National Park before terminating at the famous clay pan of Sossusvlei. One road in, one road out. Apologies for the size (it was already in my gallery ) please f11

Kingston has informed me that they are phasing out all 4GB Compact Flash cards. So the competition prizes have been changed to a CF 8GB Ultimate or a SDHC 8GB Class 6. This change will apply from this Salon onwards.
