I presume my entry to this particular salon 15 is acceptable! I was fully expecting a comment to the effect 'is this photography? OR is this Art?' Are there limitations in this category or can one use their imagination & expression with freedom?

So long as the entry meets the challenge topic "FREEDOM" and I can understand how it meets it (as some are a little obscure), then that is fine.

THREE AND A HALF HOURS

Where is everybody? There are only 10 entries to this Salon and there is a 2Gb memory card up for grabs.

What is the matter with everyone? Come on. Let us see if we can get a final burst in the next 3 and a half hours.

Who hasn't entered yet? This is basically a photography forum. What has happened?

3 hours 20 mins left. Surely FREEDOM is not that difficult. Search your archives.

Freedom Over Aegean Sea by Archangel

Monkey by Bigbob

Now this was one where I struggled a bit with whether or not it met the criteria, but in the end I decided that it was the monkey looking through the cage and wishing he/she were free. I though that this was a very poignant image.

Balloons by Stephen

Lovely image Stephen with the balloons just rising above the single tree and the moon still in view. I bet you had to rise

early for this shot.

Boathouse by ryme-intrinseca

The reflections of the setting sun would certainly create a feeling of Freedom if one were sailing in the boathouse.

I like the overall colour, the position of the boathouse and the setting sun in this image.

But there can only be one winner and this time it is:

Congrats to Jocelyn, and well done to Autumn for looking after the Salon. It never ceases to suprise me how people see images differently. I suppose this is the beauty of this Salon concept.

A worthy winner I thought. I too loved the artwork/photo comb - I thought the image was a clever representation of the theme. Well done to the runners up and indeed everybody who submitted something (more than I could manage I'm ashamed to say - not going to bore you with excuses) and thank you Audrey for running this Salon.

As always, the standard was consistently high (even if there weren't that many entries). I may not have entered, but I certainly lurked!
