They are quite outstanding although I know some of the older generation (such as my folks!!) don't particularly approve of them being scattered all over Kirstenbosch. But I quite like them and this one was particularly stunning because its pale colour stood out against the surrounding scene so well. I took the pic while on a week's holiday there in Feb this year - actually I took an awful lot of pics but didn't get a closer one of this particular sculpture.

Yes Caz, they were gorgeous as kittens, with huge big blue eyes that actually turned greeny yellow as they got older. They grew to be beautifull, fluffy & long haired. If you have a look under the Nature-Pets gallery, I have a pic of 4 of them titled 'basket babes' if you are interested in having a look! I have a few pics there of my pets. As you may guess, I'm an animal & nature lover! Thanx for your comments!

Finally got a chance to look at your gallery photos of the kitties - they look absolutely gorgeous. I love cats, but unfortunately I'm allergic (asthmatic -sp?) as a child. However, I'm pretty ok with my partner's dog, Snoopy because she's so small ans short-haired!

I don't see a blue fringe on my monitor, so if its around the outside of the kittens, I guess its from the selection I made so that I could inversely blur the hands that were holding them in the pic! Then I added the gradient. Can't say I'm great shakes at doing selections or gradients, as still learning!

Here is my first entry. Looking at some of the others, I have no hope whatsoever, but I've just got my SLR and I'm going photo crazy, so I thought I'd have a try! I;ve got several of these 'families', this one's my favourite.
