I think you used a pretty good system to arrive at your decision too, there were too many this time simply to scroll through and make a subjective choice so well done, also congrats to George and Tim.

Will try and get a new theme up today
Glad you used some lateral thinking & used the pic u did as it's great! Congratulations Stephen

Maybe, but being over modest about such a great shot needs "Rof"

Autumn - you asked if someone could post the links to the top pictures - I've had a try, and let's see how it goes:

    [4] - Josh Bear: http://dpnow.com/galleries/data/597/...the_Thames.jpg

    [4] - Tom: http://dpnow.com/galleries/data/500/medium/Strings.jpg

    [4] - Pol: http://dpnow.com/galleries/data/500/bridges-sn.jpg

    [3] Bearface: http://dpnow.com/galleries/data/500/DSC_5999w.jpg

    [2] Archangel: http://dpnow.com/galleries/data/594/...rio_Bridge.jpg

    [1] Stephen: http://dpnow.com/galleries/data/511/Rainbow-Bridge.jpg

    Thank you Carol

That is exactly what I wanted. I had it in "Word" where I first wrote the result, however, the links nor the formatting did not copy and paste.

Everyone time I tried to add it to my post, I went to the picture to get the url and couldn't find the post again.

I gave it up as a bad job.

    Thanks again.

    Audrey

I have now entered these urls into my post, so that people can see the winners immediately. Thanks

I have to say this picture had everything for me, correct exposure, composition, colour and presentation; it also appeared to be unadulterated. I just loved its natural beauty.

    Congratulations Stephen

It is now your turn to be Curator and I look forward to the new theme.

Before you read the results, I prepared the following in Word with hyperlinks to all the photographs, but after copying and pasting here all the links have gone, and everytime I try to insert them within this, I can't find this message again. Sorry, but you will have to find your own way to the pictures - unless anyone would like to help me out and insert the links.

Thank you all for making this such an interesting salon. We have had 27 entries.
I am not sure whether this is a record, but it certainly gave me quite a task selecting the winner.

In the end I decided to download all of them and view them in Adobe Bridge. This was certainly easier than having to scroll through 4 pages.

I then selected the photographs by:

    Meeting the Criteria
    Exposure
    Composition
    Presentation/technical
    Punch – what I like

Each rating had a maximum of 5 points making a total of 25.

By being objective, it did help me to
    Select the winner,
    The two runners up and
Three members that I felt deserved special mentions.

    So … … IN REVERSE ORDER … …

I would like to mention those who did not quite make it but had very good entries - they came joint 4th.

Josh Bear for "Across the Thames"

Tom for The Gateshead Millenium Bridge

Pol for "The Bridge of Specs across the Bridge of Nose"

    Third place goes
    TO BEARFACE FOR HIS
    SCENE FROM VENICE

    Second place goes
    TO ARCHANGEL FOR
    THE BRIDGE OF RIO-ANTIRIO

    And Finally

    THE WINNER IS

    STEPHEN
    FOR HIS STUNNING PICTURE OF
    RAINBOW BRIDGE LAKE POWELL UTAH

I have to say this picture had everything for me, correct exposure, composition, colour and presentation; it also appeared to be unadulterated. I just loved its natural beauty.
