Re: Black and white village
I don't often see this type of image and rarely done as well as this.
For me the only thing I'd alter is to crop/remove the window on the left top third, what looks like car light trails in the bottom right and try cropping the top by between 10 to 20 mm (on my screen)
You will often get comments about night shots needing some of the late twilight in the sky. This for me is far better as the lack of people reinforces the feel of an image taken in the dead of night.
The high vantage point that it was taken from is also well chosen as it adds to the feel of "watching over the village"
I enjoyed this picture a lot.

Re: Black and white village
Thanks for the comments. Re the window do you mean the one at the far left near the top of the picture which is brightly lit?
Re the car trails, embarrassed to say I didn't even spot them so thanks. I will remove.
Best Regards

Re: Black and white village
This brings back happy memories of when we were down there this time last year, we only stayed a couple of hours. I would have loved to have spent more time exploring. The tide was out when we went and I remember thinking it would have been a lot prettier with the tide in
Oh and I like the B/W take on the village

I've returned a couple of times to look at the shot and I still think it has a great feel to it...
