    Re: Dawn In Henley

It has all been said already. Just had to say that I think the third photograph you posted is lovely, I would have that on my wall anytime. The composition, colours, degree of contrast, small individual parts all coming together - all make it a photograph to get lost in.

      Beautiful shots, all of them!

FWIW - I like the swans included. They add something 'live and endearing' to the shot imho.

My overall favourite, from them all, just has to be that fantastic lanscape with the mists, the boats and the cyclist.

        Hi Josh,
yes I like all of them but prefer the third landscape format of the first post, I do like the misty waterside image with the cyclist very much, I would go on to say that IMO that is the best of all of them posted a superb image in all aspects .

          Thanks all.

I am pleased with the mornings pictures but answer me this why are the the most stunning orange and pink sunrises always on days when I am going the work! e.g. this morning.

          Best Regards

The scene and the colours are fantastic but I don't think this particular scene is suitable for portrait mode. There is just to much space. The landscape mode is definately the one to hang.

              Hi again Josh,
I have been looking at the river scene and keep coming back for another look,
I stand by what I said before, But something kept bothering me, and I thought to myself "Dare I" Dare I tweek this image to see what I could ahcieve with the levels curves, I felt that the sky was lacking, I know it is a soft misty image but it did seem a little "dare I say lacking in punch". I thought I may adjust the colors, contrast, levels and curves, and still maintain the soft misty atmosphere.
I am not sure if I succeeded or not, or even if the changes will show in this web image. or even if you will like them. I also mounted the image. I do hope you are not offended as your skills and experience are far in excess of mine.
Whoops I forgot to resize the image after increasing the size to adjust the image.

                hi Josh
some beautiful photos you have taken,
But could I be picky and fussy
I like number 2 and number 3, but for me number 3 with the swans in would be superb...
but agree with others worthy ones to be hung on a wall.

Hi don't mind enyone giving a different perspective on any of my pictures

I can see what you have done and there is no doubt the trees seem to have more detail than the original. I think, as always it comes down to personal taste as to the level of "mistyness" you leave in the picture.

                  Best regards
