so sorry for late response. I will be back home in two weeks so kindly give me some more time. I did it but not sure myself yet atm how good/bad the result is.

I went to the same place tonight to take some pics of the lunar eclipse but due to the thick cloud the trip to the place was just in vain.

On the morning of June 6th, we expect that the venus cut across (?) the sun surface, and I'm planning to take some shots of it. The weather forecast is not preferrable but I just hope I can take some pics of it, as the next chance I will have will be after 100 years later.

Since I posted here last time, I am away home in Fukushima and my access to internet is quite limited. I'm travelling around and enjoying varous spas. Sorry for that.

        yoshi

I was wondering if anyone had a go at the venus transition this morning?

Yep, but clouds did their job.
Was at my chosen site at 4-30, set up by 0445 and called it a day at 0620 with nothing but a moment of brief brightness to show for it. Still, at least if the clouds had've parted I was there rather than in bed.
