Re: RAW & JPEG Transfer To PC

I have never used the auto mode on my camera....or the "landscape" "macro" etc. I have only used manual, aperture and shutter priority.....I don't have a card reader either. Is there an advantage to using one (aside from this issue) over the drag and drop method?
-Stephen thanks for showing the view of your folder....that is what I am looking for, and since you managed to get it I should be able to as well (I tried the drag and drop after your last message with no luck)....I am very curious why I can't seem to get it to work....maybe this warrants a ring to Canon.....thanks all for the ideas!

      Hi,
The advantage of using a card reader is that you remove all contact with the camera and therefore dont have to worry about USB connections or powering the camera or such. I use a card reader for all my cameras, open the card reader driver, select all the files and move them to a "Download" folder. The process is very fast and I then edit them in the download folder.

Card readers are now very inexpensive and you may find them useful for other things - like reading different format cards from friends' cameras and mobile phone cameras.
