Watched the Constant Gardener last night, very good film, makes you think, if you liked Hotel Rwanda then you will like this.

Both relate to how corrupt the areas are and how the western world only get involved when it's down to money, hotel Rwanda follows a hotel manager who helps anyone he can even putting his own life in danger.
The Constant Gardener follows a British Diplomat and his wife uncovering what really goes on in Africa in relation to large drug companies.

I was in town the other day with the wife and she keeps asking what I would like for Christmas. I say I do not know but will think about it. Any way she goes into one shop and I go into Woolworth's and have a look around. So I pick up the mission impossible 3 pack thinking thats something I can watch at the weekend. I have just finished paying for it and the wife comes in and takes it out my hands saying well thats one thing you can have for Christmas easy come easy go. Well that was the bad news, the good news is that I have Mimi vice hidden away . I loved the tv show, so hoping the film will match up. The sad thing I know what she will say when she sees it, Thats so 80's

The last several movies I've seen have been so forgettable that I've forgotten what they were . But the last movie that I really enjoyed was Waking Ned Devine. Loved the fake, but touching, eulogy delivered to a very much alive friend, and their brief conversation afterwards:

          "Sounds like quite a fellow."

          "He had his faults."

And I'll add my vote for best movie of all time to 2001 (however HAL was named ). When I first saw it as a teenager, I didn't have a clue what it was about, but I couldn't stop thinking about it for days afterwards.

Saw it Sunday also. Liked seeing the evolution oof James into 007, and did not miss the spectacular fireworks stunt scenes with 100's of extras. I liked the more spare style of this new production. I hope they keep it up.

I watched 'One Hour Photo' last night (Robin Williams). Quite scary, so maybe I'll watch it again now I know when to hide behind a cushion.

Robin Williams has come a long way since "Mork and Mindy". He is now a seriously competent actor and not just another coked up comic.

I saw that about a year or so ago but I did not think much of it. I did watch Miami vice last weekend but it did not work for me. I guess I was hoping it would be like the old tv show but it was not to be.
