    Re: in hospital

[QUOTE=Garry;84413]You know Arundel then ? Lovely picturesque little village with the castle and river.
We spend a lot of time there.[/QUOT

    outstanding castle. Fabolous area.

I love the area. Devastating plane crash incident there the other year, always feared something like that would happen.

I also went to a posh wedding at the church in Bosham. Very religious couple insisted on fruit punch only at the reception.

There was also another forum called Karl's forum. He sadly died. At that time I imaged people who ran forums did it solely, but he I think was a builder or similar and fell off a roof. He was very helpful and died young. I think his wife continued with it.

I remember Paul (Levan). He was there also and of course Pol and Stephen (who is also not with us any more).
Lineone, aka the purple place. Karl's forums are still going, run by Dot, his wife.
There was also a place called Grant's challenge, where people entered an altered picci using elements 2. Leevan and I sometimes did the challenges. I was useless at them .... the resident dunce. LOL

It was Tiscali Photographic forum which was taken over by TalkTalk. Leevan was the modulator and got treated quite badly by the TalkTalk takeover. Having taken it over they set about running it down. Stephen and I both moved here and I was Shopstik in those days, that's why Pol still calls me shoppy. . I remember Stephen and Bearface were great friends and both produced some excellent photos. One of the old Tiscali members started a new forum called Image Connect. That only lasted a few months before it collapsed due to poor management. We have all moved around and many of the old Tiscali members have been lost on the way. It's nice that there are still a few of us old members here today.
Regards Ron. Live each day as if it was your last. One day you will be right. Down sized to Nikon s7000 compact camera.

Yes. It was the old Tiscali photo forum. Pops ( Paul ) ( Leevan ) was a mod at the time. I am still in contact with him now.

Maybe you were there just before my time.

Anyhow. Nice to make you acquaintance, and good to hear that your health is better.

Ah! Bosham. Another very picturesque area. The church ! Was it by the harbour ? The Holy Trinity.

The terrible aeroplane accident that you refer was on the A27 at Shoreham, killing 11 men.

I think that's the one. The reception was in Guildford with a bus laid on to tske some of us there. I was the poor relation wearing a charity shop suit and a woolly crochet hat.

Tim's still around. He took over much of Stephen's work when Stephen died.
He also wrote to me when David died. Top togfa, that's for sure!

                              Re: in hospital

Pol has just emailed me to say she has been moved to the cottage hospital. Here is a picture she sent me to show you. Looks good and the outlook should be better for her. There is no internet connection available there so she will communicate via her smartphone sending me updates. By all accounts she is making good progress.
