Very little actually, my recently purchased copy of CS3 should be able to be changed for a mac version, and the Lightroom disc comes with a Mac version on it too. These are the main things, and others I will have to get as and when. Its surprising just how much software you actually get as part of the operating system. One of the most annoying ones is that my Accounts program does not have a Mac version,so that will have to run on the lappy, or if I install XP on the Mac I can use it on there.

Very useful that the Lightroom disc comes with a the Mac version. CS3 would be my main concern, especially with the upgrade disc. Don't forget you'll need to install an earlier version of CS or CS2 before you can install the CS3 upgrade. The earlier version would also have to be a Mac version.

Hells teeth man, you have a coffee machine right next to your 'puter atm. You have enough server space at present to upload your archive to. As for Quad core processing, is there any software that can take advantage of it yet?

That's what I meant; they're flogging Quad Core PCs and they don't work yet!

Now the iMac is small and compact, it just has a big screen, which you gorra admit is brilliant. Its also pretty dammed quiet when running. Heck you had several turbo style fans in your last desktop

iMacs are superb, I'll admit. In fact, who persuaded you to look at them in the first place, big fella..?

The turbo fans are long gone. I just don't want to hear my machine running, thassall

As for Self Cleaning, well I clean it myself a flick with a duster now and again anyway.

My friendly PC tech told me you should clean out your PC fortnightly, because dust compromises the cooling of your processor and clogs the outlets as well as the PSU. So I want one that cleans itself, or at least for you to come around with your duster to clean my PC and then make coffee.

Anyroad up, I think I've ordered a pretty sexy 'puter, now if only it would wash the mugs out too

Mac users don't use mugs, they use china teaware or crystal flutes for drinking coffee or tea...

No Pol you don't need to install a early version of CS just have the serial number handy of an early version.

Yes, a must-have that I missed on my list. The fan on my 3GHz P4 is loud, my graphics card has its own noisy exhaust fan and I've go a NAS drive with a fan that screams like a banshee. When all 3 are running it's almost intolerable in here, it sounds like a jet taxiing for take off.

I work in an alcove off the front room and when the processor gets hit and the fans start, 'er indoors has to turn the telly up! I do not jest!

Perhaps I should get the WD40 out?
